Hi, my name is Margaret Fearnow and my husband and I are natives of Morgan County, where we have raised two children. My husband is a retired school teacher, and I retired from the USPS after 10 years of service.

I grew up in a large family where my parents operated a business. I guess that is why I have always enjoyed working with the public. I have always liked working with my hands and learning new skills. So, in the Fall of 2002— after making two 70-mile round trips, one to order and one to pick-up, just to get a custom mat cut— I decided to learn how to cut mats for my own needlepoint and art. Once I purchased the necessary equipment and supplies, I realized I could offer this service to others. So, I expanded my services to include framing and opened "Just Hanging Around". When I first began it was a part-time business operating out of my home. Several years later, with the help and support of my husband, I was able to retire early from the USPS and start operating the business full time.

Right now I can honestly say I have the best of all worlds. I get the gratification of creating something with my hands. I get to meet people and see the delight in their faces when they see their finished art. And, I get to enjoy all types of art that my customers bring in, at least for a little while.
